These pages feature a number of websites that we've come across over the years or that have been recommended, and that we think might interest our customers and crew - the foodie sites are geared up to serve the domestic market, so we use them personally rather than as a business.

Good Pub Guide
We like this guide a lot - not just because all of our pubs are in it and we have twice been their Pub Group of the Year, but because it is the best place to find good pubs if you are out and about. The Good Beer guide helps you to find well-kept beers - but they may be in grotty pubs. The Good Pub guide helps you to find good pubs - and comments on the beers alongside all the other stuff you want to know about, like the quality of food, atmosphere, architecture etc.
This site has a useful search engine for recommended pubs along with their reviews from the guide.
The Caterer
The is the web site of the Caterer magazine, and carries news and information for the hospitality industry, including latest news and legislation in the industry, products, an archive of over 30,000 articles, information on hospitality companies, catering shows, jobs, and much more, all for no charge. This is a hard-working, information-packed site. The only problem we’ve found is that once you’ve registered as an individual to look for jobs, it’s difficult to un-register, and you keep getting emailed with vacancies whether you want them or not.
The Publican
This is the website of one of the pub industry’s trade publications, and contains sections on News, Jobs, Property, City and Business, Food Zone, Directories - all accessible when you become a member, for which there is no charge.
What’s Brewing
What’s Brewing' is Camra’s monthly newspaper, and discusses a wide range of beery issues from the globalisation of the brewing industry to country pub closures, from licensing reform to full measure legislation. You’ll also find brewery profiles, company profiles (they carried a well-written article on B & P), Beer festival reports, local pubs of the year, branch activities and the rest.
