We’re looking for a warm and charismatic Assistant or Deputy manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the pub management team and will be expected to support the manager in all aspects of sharing responsibility for the day to day running of the pub.
You will also assume responsibility for the pub when the manager is not on the premises with the help of the rest of the management team. Helping to run a Brunning and Price pub is a multi-facetted career, you’ll be a real foodie, have a real passion for decent beer and wine, enjoy looking after others and be able to help build and direct a happy crew. The role will therefore be very hands-on and extremely varied encompassing people management, food and drink, customer service, pub maintenance and day to day financial administration.
It sounds like a tall order, but in truth we are able to offer a lot of support, and at the end of the day the most important quality we look for in all our people is strength of personality. We like fun characters who set the bar high and have an eye for detail.
All of our pubs are featured in the Good Pub Guide and for us it’s all about serving fresh, simple, high quality traditional dishes extremely well.
Our menus have a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world – in other words, modern British cookery.
We’ll reward you with a salary package up to £30,000 and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on five occasions.

We are looking for out-going, friendly people to join our crew. Previous experience is always helpful but not essential, as long as you enjoy looking after people and are able to work evenings and weekends, we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for a CDP or Junior Sous Chef with excellent cooking skills, experience in helping to set and achieve GP percentages and the ability to manage high volumes with the right standards of quality and consistency. You will demonstrate good attention to detail and you will help the crew set the bar high in terms of cooking delicious dishes and maintaining effective kitchen controls while adhering to excellent standards of health and hygiene.
Our menu has a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery. Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way.
Together with the head chef you will help write the menus, assist in sourcing ingredients from the best suppliers and set and maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency. You’ll also need to help to efficiently run service in the head and sous chef’s absence and so your kitchen management and organisational skills will be of paramount importance.
As one of our chefs we’ll reward you with a salary package up to £25,000 and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on several occasions.Contact: To explore the possibilities of joining our crew, email your CV and covering letter telling us a bit about yourself and what makes you tick to [email protected]
