Welcome

The Old Windmill has been serving food and ale to locals since at least 1799, but by the start of 2011, when it came under the wing of Brunning and Price, it was evident that the time had come for a comprehensive refurbishment of the venerable old lady.

Right from the off we fell in love with the character and feel of the pub, and have taken great pains to preserve and enhance the atmosphere of the Windmill. Wood fires, flagstone floors and oak beams abound, and we've carefully returned the Old Windmill to its roots as a classic English country pub, with the bar at the heart of the building. Although it's not for us to say, we think it's an absolute gem.
