We’re looking for a warm and charismatic host who can take up the reins while our current manager is away on maternity leave. The initial appointment will be for up to twelve months with a view to a permanent appointment as manager in one of our many other pubs when the time comes.

Running a Brunning and Price pub is a multi-facetted career: you’ll need to be a real foodie; have a real passion for decent beer and wine; enjoy looking after others; be able to build and direct a happy crew; run a £1m + business; and look after a characterful building.

We’ll reward you with a salary package around £35K and provide you with quality accommodation as part of the deal. Due to an internal transfer, we are looking for a warm and charismatic Deputy Manager.

We serve simple, high quality fresh food along with a decent range of cask ales and wine. We have around 130 covers inside with room outside for another 125 covers when the sun is shining.

As a Deputy Manager you’ll be a key member of the pub management team and will be expected to support the manager as the ‘right hand’ person in all aspects of sharing responsibility for the day to day running of the pub. You will also assume responsibility for the pub when the manager is not on the premises with the help of the rest of the management team.

We serve high quality food made in our recently extended and well equipped kitchen using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Our pubs have been awarded ‘County Dining Pub of the Year’ on over 30 occasions by the Good Pub Guide.

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join the pub management team. The role provides a great deal of autonomy and you’ll have enormous influence over the performance of the business. Together with the manager you will write the menus, and be responsible for sourcing ingredients from the best suppliers, and negotiating the best deals available. The role is very hands-on and extremely varied and your kitchen management and organisational skills will be of paramount importance as you’ll have direct responsibility for health and safety, food hygiene, wage budgeting, rota’ing and achievement of GP% targets. The pub has around 130 covers inside with room outside for another 125 covers when the sun is shining and so you’ll need to be experienced in dealing with high volumes but at the same time keeping the right standards of quality and consistency.

We’ll reward you with a salary package around £32,500 and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on four occasions.

We’re looking for a friendly and conscientious person to help clean the pub.

Hours of work will be mornings up to around 15 hours per week (including some weekends).

General duties include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, toilet cleaning, use of floor buffing machine and other general cleaning tasks.
