We've recently taken under our wing a number of pubs that were trading under the Blubeckers and Edwinns brands: these will now be known as Home Counties Pub Restaurants. Over the coming months and years we will dovetail our operations, and in the meantime we will continue to focus on good quality, fresh food cooked simply and without pretension, served by people who really enjoy looking after others.

Brunning and Price's pubs have won 'County Dining Pub of the Year’ from the Good Pub Guide over 25 times, and the bar is being set just as high for Home Counties Pub Restaurants.

Pub Manager, Gomshall Mill, Gomshall near Guildford:

Even though we say it ourselves, Gomshall Mill is a stunning timber-framed water mill that sits on the banks of the river Tillingbourne between Guildford and Dorking. The building has its origins in the 17th century, and as you might imagine every nook and cranny exudes character: we are traditional in style with lots of wood, open fires and decent old furniture, and have a relaxed and chatty atmosphere.

We’re working on a comprehensive re-development of the menus, wines and cask ales, and we’re on the lookout for a big character to manage the pub and help drive it forward.  You will need to be a genuine foodie who enjoys looking after others, and have a real enthusiasm for beers and wines and the ability to share this with customers and crew alike.

Leadership will be a key attribute as you’ll need to build and develop the skills in the kitchens and front-of-house to a high level, whilst at the same time motivating and enthusing a happy and committed team who are proud of what they do.

This is a tremendously exciting opportunity for the right personality:  you’ll have the chance to grow a business  which has huge potential and put your stamp on things. You will be decently rewarded for the effort you put in, with a package around £35,000 pa.
